Try to walk or use bike as often as possible
Do not use the car for a short distance
Use public transport
Instead of being stack in traffic jam, use public electric transport such as subway or cable cars, which will get you in destination in time and without exhaust.
Maintain your car in required technical condition, especially combustion system! (for detailed information call 1484 - hotline of mandatory periodic inspection)
Fix following in your car:
  • Combustion system (engine and exhaust emission control system);
  • Running gear;
  • Electronics;
  • Brake system;
  • Steering wheel control system;
  • Windshield cleaners;
  • Lights.
Do not remove the Catalytic Converter! Replace it with a new one
Try to improve your driving skills - follow the principles of eco-driving:
  • Avoid stopping car with running engine
  • Change engine air filter timely
  • Maintained recommended air pressure in tires
  • Do not tray to add fuel in tank after fuel pump pistol stops automatically
  • Try to use cruise control as much as possible, it adjusts speed automatically
  • Low speed of engine rotation causes a reduction in fuel consumption
  • Shifting gear should be shifted in higher shift as early as possible and in lower shift as later as possible
  • Try to move towards traffic lights, when lights are red, using only kinetic energy
  • Plan ahead your trip
  • Do not let engine warm before starting movement. Try to drive car on lower speed for short time to worm
  • Do not use tires for winter in summer
  • Minimize use of air conditioner
  • The catalyst may be damaged while trying to start engine via tug
  • Release the car from extra burdens
  • Try to put the burden in the car trunk not on the roof
Try not to drive car alone - use car sharing!
When buying a car, make a choice of cleaner technologies like electric and hybrid vehicles. Such choice significantly reduces fuel costs and environmental pollution
Reduce the firewood consumption
Dry firewood well, before consumption -  Get more heat with less firewood
The firewood is way more "dirty" as a fuel than natural gas
Compared with natural gas consumption, burning firewood emits more:
